We are Arabs, and Arabs we are
by ~ArabianWolfWe are the clothed ones
The modest and humble
We are the survivors of the dead
The burning sands as our bed
We have sung in the rain and laughed at the heat
We are the swords of our fathers
And the ink of our sons
We are the poets of the night
The founders of the light
We are the dwellers of the sands
The nomad speaking lands
We are the source of pride
The virtuous and honorable pride
We are the ships of the scorching sand
The journey of ones true inner man
We lay between the silk of east
And the iron of the west
We place faith at our heads
And hope in our threads
We are the benders of the desert
The brave, strong and noble desert
The celestial moon brightens our sight
The heavenly skies gleam at night
They call us Nomads and wanderers
We have been known by our devotion
A religion that set the world in motion
We are neither slaves nor kings
We are Arabs, and Arabs we are
